Painter Patricia Brekte-Pannetier's joint work with Anna in the project "Creation of the World"

CREATION OF THE WORLD is an art project that unites 12 well-known Latvian artists - painters in synergy with the young people of the association, creating the world on canvas together.

The purpose of the project is to collect donations for the creation of a group home, as well as to emphasize that people with severe developmental disabilities are able to contribute to society and are a part of it.

All donations received are 100% donated to the association "Latvijas Kustība par neatkarīgu dzīvi" (Latvian Movement for Independent Life) for the dream of a group home.

Anna is 28 years old. Anna has complex developmental disabilities. Anna radiates a lot of sincerity and love. Anna needs support and appreciation for what she has done in her everyday life. The group home will be able to change Anna's everyday life.

“This is the place where our dreams meet. Anna's dreams, my dreams, our dreams. The station is a place where activity takes place independently, people flow and change, but their thoughts, adventure and experiences are layered here. Working with Anna was exciting, and it seemed that Anna constantly demanded praise for what she had done, which is so human - to be appreciated and proud. The dream station will one day be a home where Anna can not only be, but realize her creative expressions and experience her own, independent life,” says the painter.
